Join curator Amy Miller for a talk and walk through the new 2025 exhibition programme at Burgh House. Alongside a full rehang of the museum, is the first-ever solo exhibition dedicated to the celebrated artist, illustrator, and author Helen Oxenbury. A cornerstone of childhood and parenthood for generations, Oxenbury’s work is beloved for its universal appeal, subtle celebration of diversity, and ability to connect with readers of all ages. Accompanying Helen Oxenbury: Illustrating the Land of Childhood, is a showcase of Burgh House’s own collections in Victorian Idylls: Kate Greenaway and Helen Allingham, looking at two Hampstead based artists and life-long friends who created an enduring popular vision of Victorian Britain. Amy Miller will give a talk on the new shows, a chance to see some related objects brought out from the stores. Everyone will have the opportunity to explore the displays after the talk.
