Howell Killick Partridge & Amis in Camden:  a talk by Geraint Franklin

Camden is well known as an architects’ stamping ground, and this talk profiles a notable post-war practice – Howell Killick Partridge & Amis. Its four architects – Bill Howell, John Killick, John Partridge and Stan Amis – lived and worked in the borough. They started their careers in the employ of the London County Council, where they designed the 1950s Roehampton Lane (Alton West) estate. Geraint’s talk will focus on HKPA’s work in Camden, principally 80-90 South Hill Park and Acland Burghley School.

Geraint Franklin is an architectural historian with Historic England, and is the author of Howell Killick Partridge & Amis (Liverpool University Press, 2017).
